220,000 illegal aliens live in just the tiny state of Massachusetts...which is 1 in 5 of all immigrants in the state.
According to the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Immigration Studies, a nonpartisan think tank, there are an estimated 220,000 illegal immigrants in the Bay State. Unemployment is 9% here. My 25 year old nephew would love to have one of those painting or gardner jobs that these illegal aliens seem to predominate for under-the-table cash.
Of those immigrants:
134,000 have a job,
29,000, or 3 percent, are students in public primary schools,
25 percent of their households receive welfare benefits,
11 percent of their households use food stamps,
20 percent of their households are covered by Medicaid,
56,000 do not have health insurance.
*A large portion of these illegals rent apartments with government subsidies (handouts). Apartment rents are based on "supply and demand". So if you rent an apartment, it is probably costing you $150-$200 per month more because of illegal immigrants.
