Saturday in almost every language translates as Sabbath (sabbath)

posted by canguy25(R), 12.06.2009

early Christians recognized it as the day of rest (saturday is considered the 7th day in nearly every language), after death Christ's body had to be left alone because of the sabbath, Paul taught on the Sabbath (Acts 17:23), (Acts 18:1-11), "And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks" (Acts 18:4)"So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath" (Acts 13:42).
not until 202 ad did Sunday begin to replace the Sabbath. constantine who was a pagan sun worshipper is the one who instituted the change in the 4th century. sabbath keepers were labelled heretics.
"And it shall come to pass that from one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh shall come to worship before Me, says the Lord".

the 7th day was made the day of rest before the fall of man. when Jesus returns the Jews will recognize His Jewishness and Messiaship. setting apart the sabbath day as Holy is something that will never change in Israel where Jesus will rule the nations from.
