Angela: Bibleprobe reply -You & 'PureWord' have the Religious thing covered (general)

posted by fezik82(R), Ohio, 11.20.2016

I understand why you place your focus where you do, I think that it's really important to speak out as you do regarding Islam and politics. I have to be honest, I was afraid for you after noticing that there were a couple of weeks since your last post given all that you have said about Islam over the years. I wish you were a little less candid at times because of this, even the early Christians hid out in the catacombs for safety.

I didn't know if you were reading the posts, they oppose important values that you have stood for throughout my entire time here. With the lack of other religious posts, it seems as though this site is becoming somewhat of a free platform for Joseph Prince's teachings and I couldn't help but wonder how you felt about these teachings. These teachings are heretical and disturbing, and lead followers to abandon their loyalty to God and forfeit spiritual callings for physical gain. It is no wonder that he is teaching that God will satisfy all of your worldly desires, this is what we are left with when you remove His role as Master and claim that we do not exist to serve Him. Apparently He exists only to serve us. Prince is teaching not only that we are to do nothing for God, but that we can't even offend Him. He claimed that we are not to recognize our faults and that turning away from sin is not necessary for forgiveness, despite the Bible's clear teaching that we must "repent" to avoid death. Despite all warning that God will judge both the living and the dead, and do so according to their "deeds" (Matthew 16:27), he is teaching that God does not even look at us because He looks only at Christ. If Christ is perfect, you're perfect. A few weeks past, he was quoted here as claiming that Jesus' role as Mediator was strictly limited to "cleaning" our prayers before they reach the Father. This man (Joseph Prince) does more damage to Christianity than the Jehovah's witnesses ever will. They may not teach that Christ is God, but at least they believe that He is Lord over all creation.

I asked The Lord how much He loved me

He stretched out His arms and said, "this much"

Then He died for me
