Don't Forget: It was liberal Democrat Senators who brought this bad IRAN DEAL!

Where's the OUTRAGE?
This deal gives Iran US $100 billion it can use to fund more terrorist attacks around the world; it threatens Israel that it will work with Iran to foil any Israeli attack on Iran; AND it promises Iran our 'nuclear expertise. If that's not Treason - what is? This is a Treaty. Obama made it by bypassing Congress. Remember Democrats at voting time for this abomination! - and also how they (liberal Democrats) especially under Obama have managed to bankrupt our country - both morally and financially. /s/ Steve K

Senate Democrats block GOP effort to derail Iran nuke deal

WASHINGTON — In a big victory for President Obama, Senate Democrats on Thursday blocked a resolution to reject the Iran nuclear agreement.

Senators voted 58-42 to bring to the floor a resolution disapproving the deal. That was two votes short of the 60 votes Republican leaders needed to advance the bill.

The Democrats' action spares Obama from having to veto any legislation and leaves the Iran agreement intact, though Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said he may bring the bill back for another vote next week.

Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Democratic Whip Dick Durbin, D-Ill., predicted that the outcome would not change if McConnell tries again.

"You can call (a vote) ten more times and you’ll get the same result," Durbin said.

Under legislation passed by Congress in May, the deal will take effect unless both the House and Senate vote for a resolution of disapproval by Sept. 17.

President Obama said he was heartened by the vote.

Washington (CNN)In a significant win for White House, Senate Democrats Thursday blocked a Republican resolution of disapproval of the Iran nuclear deal from going to a final vote.

That means President Barack Obama won't be forced to veto the legislation and drag out for several more weeks an ugly battle with the GOP-controlled Congress over the accord he has fought hard to secure.

The vote on the procedural motion to move to a final vote, which needed 60 votes to pass, failed 58 to 42.

Obama welcomed the outcome in a statement Thursday afternoon.

"This vote is a victory for diplomacy, for American national security, and for the safety and security of the world," Obama said. "I am heartened that so many senators judged this deal on the merits, and am gratified by the strong support of lawmakers and citizens alike."
