LORD and Lord (bibles-scripture)

posted by fezik82(R), Ohio, 09.01.2015

"LORD" means that the tetragrammaton was present ("YHWH"), while "Lord" comes from "Adonai" meaning, "master". Most translations do not include the tetragrammaton in the New Testament as the apostles didn't use it in the original manuscripts. I understand that your OT references are in caps, in Psalm 110:1, David said, "[YHWH] said to my [Adonai]", so only the first "Lord" should be in caps. Is that how Psalm 110:1 reads in this translation?

I asked The Lord how much He loved me

He stretched out His arms and said, "this much"

Then He died for me
