The Resurrection Compared to Evaporation (rapture)
Resurrection Compared to Evaporation
"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." I Corinthians 15:51-53
"Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord." I Thessalonians 4:17
"He (Jesus) was taken up and a cloud received HIm...this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into Heaven, shall also come in like manner." Acts 1:9 & 11
Rivers, oceans, lakes etc. all have water that is constantly evaporating. These waters, whether salt or fresh, are all full of impurities. When the water evaporates, it changes, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. It immediately goes from a liquid to a gas (water vapor). The molecule is the same. Either liquid or gas, it is still H2O. When it changes it, automatically and immediately loses all of its impurities. In effect, it is distilled water. The water vapor then rises into the atmosphere to form a cloud.
At the resurrection, we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. Our corruptible person will put on incorruption. Our form will change, but we will still be the same person and have the same make up. We will rise (be caught up) to form a cloud to meet our Lord and be with Him for eternity. Hallelujah!
