Heretics should be only declared Anathema and banished (video-photo)

posted by bibleprobe(R) Homepage, Mass., 10.13.2014

Yes I agree that 'heretics' are bothersome and cannot be allowed to remain amongst Christians. The early Christians were considered heretics by the Jews and Romans - and were hunted and killed.

That's where I draw the line. Heretics should be excommunicated, declared anathema - and banished from the Church. They should never be tortured and killed for their heretical beliefs - as were Martin Luther's followers by the Inquisition. AND yes, I know Martin Luther's 'fanatical' followers killed a great many innocent Catholics during this period also.

I too don't understand how Democrats such as John Kerry, Nancy Pelosy, and even the late Edward Kennedy were allowed to remain in the Catholic Church and receive Holy Communion - considering their stands on abortion and homosexuality. But now we even have a Pope (Francis) 'playing down' abortion as not being a forefront issue - and going against Scripture with his recent remarks on acceptance of homosexuality. What's next? Accepting Freemasonry in the Catholic Church and lying that it is somehow compatible to Christianity?

Liberalism is a sickness. I fear that it has entered the Catholic Church via Pope Francis. It just may be that Pope Francis turns out to be the last pope per Malachy's 12th century prophecy of the last 10 popes.

Malachy's final words:

In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock among many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city (Rome, the seat of the Vatican) will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people.

13 March 2013 - a new pope is elected (Francis the 1st)
First South American pontiff; and the first pope to take the name of Francis. He is also the first Jesuit pope, and the 1st pope to have only 1 lung (he had 1 removed while a teenager probably after an infection). Francis the 1st is the 266th pope.

Jorge Mario Bergoglio, SJ was an Argentine cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. In 2013, he was the current Archbishop of Buenos Aires, serving since 1998. He was elevated to the cardinalate in 2001. Pope Francis the 1st took his name in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi, an Italian Catholic friar and preacher (and Catholic Saint) who worked with the poor and who founded both the Franciscan order for men, and the Order of St. Clare for women. Something that may play into this, which has also been overlooked by many is the fact that Francis of Assisi was born in Italy. He was a roman priest/friar whose real name was 'Giovanni di Pietro (Peter) di Bernardone', but nicknamed Francesco. Some think this translates literally to 'Peter the Roman.'
