I should have simplified (revelation)

posted by PureWord(R), 10.06.2014

In a way, I am hesitant to make this responce because first, it sounds to good to be true and second it may sound prideful. I assure you that what I'm about to say is fully true. I realize that I can accomplish nothing good for the kingdom of God in my flesh, so I can take no credit for anything good in my life. All of the credit goes to Jesus and the promises that He has provided in His Word. I can do nothing without Him but the balance is that I can do all things through HIm.

I have a wonderful marriage. My wife and I never fight or quarrel. I put her first and she puts me first. We are very best friends. We both put God first and foremost. Our home is very peaceful.

We have wonderful relationships with our kids. We love them dearly and they love us dearly.

I never worry about anything.
I never fear anything.

I don't get sick.

I have no financial problems.

I don't have bad days.

I don't get confused or struggle with any mental issues.

I am very assured of my relationship with Jesus. I have no doubt of my salvation.

Do I commit sin? Yes, but knowing that my sins are forgiven causes me to draw even closer to Jesus and causes me to desire not to sin at all.

Do I face problems and trials? Yes, but I know that there is a promise in God's Word that covers any problem or trial that I may face and I have confidence that God's promises are always yes, and amen. His promises have seen me through many, many impossible situations in my lifetime. They always have and they always will. That's why I fear nothing nor do I worry. My assurance is not in my abilities or talents or wisdom but in Jesus and what He has promised me. Not only me, but anyone who would dare to believe in and practice His Word and put it above anything that we think, hear, see or believe.

Please don't get me wrong. I am not trying to be flip or discourteous but what does your doctrine have to offer me?
