Who is Babylon (One world religion?) (Islam Danger)

You said that 1 Corinthians 11:26 (as often as ye eat this bread... ye do shew the Lord's death till he come) explains the doctrinal reason for the Lord's Supper. I was curious what "shew" means in Biblical terms because while I see you're reasoning, I just don't find it convincing... especially in light of the clarity of the teaching of a literal substance within the Bible. After searching Strong's, I found that the word for "shew" was used 17 times by the apostles. 11 times it was used (in the KJV) as "preach" or "preached", once as "teach", twice as "declare". The most that I can get from this verse is that it is not conclusive enough to use as any sort of proof text for either of our beliefs. What is conclusive(at least in my opinion) is that "remind yourself of" isn't a strong enough phrase for the word used for "shew".

What Paul said in 1 Corinthians 11 is very similar to the layout for the Passover Feast in Exodus 12. There's no doubt that he meant to link the two in this letter. The Jews completely purified themselves beforehand. Do you feel that the Old Testament Passover was really meant to be more holy than the New?

Making a mistake in your interpretation of the rules for the OT Passover would cost you your firstborn. This was clear... eat the bread, eat the lamb... or your child dies. It was that important. But it seems that all they would need to do is break a piece of bread and "remember " the lamb... according to your terms. I guarantee you that they would regret that decision come morning! Paul (who you point out was taught by God Himself) teaches that Christ is the Paschal Lamb. This same man repeatedly teaches that the Jews were still veiled and living in the shadows. He does not say that they were completely off in their own world and holding strange customs... but that their traditions/feasts were "the shadows of what were to come". You need to seriously meditate on why Paul would have believed Christ to be our Paschal Lamb, and what he found that could possibly cast the shadows of the Jewish Passover. It has to be related to the OT Passover... or it would have cast an entirely different shadow.

In the OT, children were punished for the sins of their parents... it wasn't out of character that the punishment of the parents for disobeying the command to eat the lamb of the Passover was the death of their firstborn child. These days, we're only guilty of our own sin. Paul preaches death and damnation to those who eat and drink unworthily... we need to know how we avoid this. Maybe the answer is in verse 29.

I quoted St. Ignatius because you claimed that transubstantiation wasn't taught by the early Church... not for the reasons that you suggested. But your quote of Justin Martyr is nearly identical to Paul's words in 1 Cor 11:26 and... I don't think it means what you think it means. Maybe he was more clear here:

For not as common bread nor common drink do we receive these; but since Jesus Christ our Saviour was made incarnate by the word of God and had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so too, as we have been taught, the food which has been made into the Eucharist by the Eucharistic prayer set down by Him, and by the change of which our blood and flesh are nourished, is both the flesh and the blood of that incarnated Jesus (Justin Martyr, First Apology, 66).

I asked The Lord how much He loved me

He stretched out His arms and said, "this much"

Then He died for me
