Vatican Defends Itself Against Child Abuse Report (general)

posted by bibleprobe(R) Homepage, Mass., 02.06.2014

Yes! And the Catholic Church told the U.N. idiots that it has long been Catholic policy of zero tolerance. For a long while (10 yrs) now, any priest who molests a child is out on the street - first time. However, sexual abuse claims against Catholic Priests & Protestant Ministers are not all 'black & white'. Take for an example a Catholic Priest or Protestant Minister who puts his hand on some kids shoulder who the parents have brainwashed into telling them any time an adult touches them.

When I was in the military, we were taught the simple act of putting your hand on/or just patting a sailor's shoulder was a leadership thing to do. It was meant to show an act of friendship and/or letting them know they are liked and are doing a good job. It fit into the 'morale building' genre - and not sexual abuse. Now, of course things have changed. Do it now and a young kid may just scream bloody murder wrongly thinking 'he/she has been sexually assaulted'.

The Liberal U.N. also doesn't like the Catholic church's doctrines that are actually 'holding back the gates of hell' regarding homosexuality, abortion and contraception.

Next we'll have the U.N. coming down on the apostolic teaching of no woman priests/Bishops and no homosexual priests/Bishops - like those churches now in apostasy (against God's Word in the Bible & apostolic tradition) are doing. The church of England will likely be filled with woman bishops by next year.

You won't want to believe this, but Protestant Churches have just about the same amount (%) or even more of minister-child molestations as the Catholic Church does. They get hidden even more deeply - rarely if ever making the news because these thousands of Protestant denominations are so uncentralized. I think they go to greater lengths in hiding those molestations, because if a little Protestant 'splintered church' gets hit with a single law suit - they are likely effectively out of 'business'.

Here is a 'small tally' of some Protestant Churches with molestation cases against them. How many of these even made the news? How many more got hidden under the table? See here: http://www.reformation.com/

'Zero tolerance' is controversial cornerstone of sex abuse policy

Catholic News Service from 2004

By Agostino Bono
Catholic News Service

WASHINGTON (CNS) -- A controversial cornerstone of the U.S. bishops' policies to prevent child sex abuse is the permanent removal from ministry of any priest or deacon who has committed at least one act of child sex abuse.

The policy has strong support among victims' groups as a sign that the church is serious about protecting children, but has been received less warmly by some priests and canon lawyers who are critical of the idea of having one penalty for a wide range of sex abuse activities.

Known as the "zero tolerance" or the "one-strike-you're-out" policy, it is based on a 2002 statement made by Pope John Paul II to a group of U.S. church leaders that "there is no place in the priesthood or religious life for those who would harm the young."

The U.S. bishops are expected to discuss zero tolerance in November as part of their required two-year review of their sex abuse policies as contained in the 2002 "Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People." It may also come under preliminary conversation when the bishops meet June 14-19 in Denver for a special assembly.

Already the zero tolerance policy has generated public debate.

Seven women who were physically, sexually and psychologically abused by an evangelical preacher have been granted over half a billion dollars in reparations by an Arkansas judge.

The Associated Press reported Thursday that Miller County Circuit Judge Kirk Johnson awarded $525 million to the victims in actual and punitive damages.

Johnson made the default ruling this week against Twenty First Century Holiness Tabernacle Church, after the organization failed to answer charges. The women were abused by Tony Alamo, the church’s leader, when they were members of the ministry.

This movie pointedly shows how easily a sweet upright male kinder garden teacher could so easily have his life ruined by a sweet, innocent, yet 'mixed up' little girl in his class.
