The Mac Daddy of Bible Prophecies to be fulfilled in 2010 (prophecies) |
The Hurva Synagogue was rededicated yesterday as prophecized by Rabbi Vilna Goan, and will be served as the center for World Jewry.

Jews, Christians look eagerly to 2010 for Third Temple construction
Bible believers of Judaism and Christianity have for over one and a half millenia been anticipating the construction of the Third Temple in Jerusalem as prophesied in both the new and old testaments. Hopes have been rising exponentially for the past decade with groups like the Temple Mount Faithful and more notably, the Temple Institute, actively, passionately and precisely preparing for every aspect of the temple inside and out barring setting the actual foundation whose cornerstone, by the way, is ready and waiting. From massive solid gold menorahs to the breeding of the red heifers needed to purify the sanctuary and the training of genetically identified Levites for the priesthood, the prophesied return of God's Holy Temple seems to be well on it's way to fulfilment. Especially if an 18th century rabbinical prophecy is fulfilled that has already come true in one respect and has many people with their eyes on the times very excited, and for good reason.
The prophecy comes from the Vilna Goan, a respected rabbinical authority in the 1700's, and foretells that the Hurva Synagogue, which was standing in Vilna Goan's own time, would eventually be destroyed and rebuilt twice and that upon the completion of the third synagogue, the construction of the Third Temple would begin shortly afterwards. The Third Hurva Synagogue stands today and will be dedicated this year, March 10th, 2010. There is still much disagreement about where to put the Temple (and whether or not it's location is even debatable), as the Al Aqsa Mosque, better known as the Dome of the Rock was built in approximately 705 a.d. quite curiously directly over the historical location of the feared and storied "holy of holies", the very heart of the temple and dwelling place of God Himself among men.
The Temple Mount is a bone of contention in Jerusalem as Jews and Christians alike are barred from even praying in silence near the ancient holy sight that has been a part of their spiritual history since Abraham and Isaac. In fact, legends even assert the dust from which Adam was formed was taken from this most Holy spot. It remains to be seen whether those for the building of the temple will compromise on the location, which honestly, lets face it, will not be available for a Third Temple without much suffering, war and bloodshed. The Dome of the Rock is not going anywhere anytime soon without Hell to pay as we all well know. It is also argued by some within the Jewish community that the the coming Messiah (or returning Messiah, for Christians and Messianic Jews) will rebuild the temple upon His return. However this is a minority. The majority holds that it is their responsibility to build the temple, and they long for it with a passionate zeal. So, can we expect to see one of the most pivotal events in end times prophecy take place this year and see the house of prayer for all nations be erected in the Holy city? Only time will tell.

It's a very significant prophecy by "Rabbi" Zalman- Watch March 30th |
Does this signal that we are very close to the beginning of the prophet Daniel’s "70th Week"?
Because of the reopening and rededication, there's talk of another Intifada......Palestinian Arabs are disturbed concerning this centuries-old rabbinical prophecy that Bunkster posted about. Currently, the Temple Institute is preparing to perform a sacrifice on March 30, 2010 on the Temple Mount. It is up to the government if it is to be allowed. If they do, all hell would break loose.
The reopening of the Hurva Synagogue in Jerusalem is extremely prophetic and heightens expectations of the rebuilding of the Third Temple and the Second Coming. How close are we to: the building of the Third Temple in Jerusalem? To the Rapture? To the revelation of the Man of Sin? Those who are awaiting the Messiah understand the significance of this event. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 declares, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed , the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
O unreasoning men! understanding not what has been proved by all these passages, that two advents of Christ have been announced: the one, in which He is set forth as suffering, inglorious, dishonored, and crucified; but the other, in which He shall come from heaven with glory, when the man of apostasy, who speaks strange things against the Most High, shall venture to do unlawful deeds on the earth against us the Christians, who, having learned the true worship of God from the law, and the word which went forth from Jerusalem by means of the apostles of Jesus, have fled for safety to the God of Jacob and God of Israel ... Justin Martyr, Dialogue with Trypho [150-165]
Elijah ben Shlomo Zalman, also known as Vilna Gaon (Vilnius, Lithuania) the foremost leader of non-hasidic world Jewry of the past few centuries, prophesied that when a certain synagogue is rebuilt for the third time, the third restoration of the Temple will soon follow.
"Rabbi" Elijah ben Shlomo Zalman, is known as as the Vilna Gaon (or Vilna Genius), or Elijah of Vilna, and simply by his Hebrew acronym Gra ("Gaon Rabbenu Eliyahu"). He is commonly referred to in Hebrew as ha'Gaon ha'Chasid mi'Vilna, "the saintly genius from Vilnius." The Gaon wrote voluminously, covering almost every Jewish text published. He was extraordinarily modest about his abilities, and despite his acknowledged authority, never accepted a formal rabbinic position in the community. He was born in 1720 in Lithuania, and from an early age showed tremendous promise as a Torah scholar. He had committed Torah to memory, and was fully versed in the Talmud as well. By the age of twenty, leading rabbis were sending him their most difficult questions for him to answer and elucidate. As young as three years old he had committed the Tanach to memory, and by the age of eleven he had committed the entire Talmud to memory. When he reached a more mature age, Elijah decided to go into "exile" and he wandered in various parts of Europe including Poland and Germany, as was the custom of the pious of the time.
HISTORY OF THE HURVA SYNAGOGUE IN JERUSALEM:
As history attests, The Hurva Synagogue was first destroyed shortly after its initial construction when Muslims tore it down. The synagogue was rebuilt a hundred years later and became the most important Jewish house of worship in the Holy Land, only to be destroyed by Jordanian troops during Israel’s 1948 War of Independence.
Now the Vilna Gaon's prophecy is coming into focus because, once again, for the first time since it was blown up by the Arab Jordanian Legionnaires in 1948, the synagogue will bring worshippers into the presence of HaShem, the G-d of Israel very near to the Temple Mount. Jewish worshippers and pilgrims to Jerusalem will be able to participate in services reportedly to be held three times a day. The Holy Ark curtains, the Torah Scrolls, the wall paintings, lamps, and the central pulpit are designed to transform the modern Jewish and Israelite pilgrim into the sacred holiness of the Almighty One of Israel.

OF FURTHER INTEREST, VILNA GAON'S CONNECTION TO THE BIBLE CODES:
A passage written about the Torah by an 18th Century rabbi and "sage", Elijah Ben Solomon Zalman (1720-1797), called the Genius of Vilna says: "The rule is that all that was, is, and will be unto the end of time is included in the Torah, from the first word to the last word. And not merely in a general sense, but as to the details of every species and each one individually, and details of details of everything that happened to him from the day of his birth until his end."

Location True Prophecy |
This doesn't concern the Third Temple per se. It is about a synagogue very near the Holy Mount. It will bring worshippers into the presence of HaShem, the G-d of Israel, very near to the Temple Mount. This prophecy brings us closer to the Third Temple being built. The existence of this newly rebuilt Synangogue is likely right this momemnt "heating up" Palestinian usurpers into another frenzy which, along with the continuing building of Israeli homes in East Jerusalem, may result into perhaps another intifata...
Who knows, the next round of Muslim Arab hatred may lead to them being kicked out of Jerusalem (which is what I'd do); and/or something happening to the Dome of the Rock.
On Friday, three Palestinians and two Israeli soldiers were killed in fighting in southern Gaza. The previous weekend, four West Bank Palestinians were killed in two separate incidents with Israeli soldiers.
There has been increased rocket fire from Gaza into southern Israel in the past week. An immigrant Thai worker was killed last week when a rocket struck a greenhouse where he was working.
Israeli security forces said they will close the West Bank region from midnight Sunday to Tuesday, April 6. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak ordered the closure during the Passover holiday. |
