The Ten Commandments are NOT for Christians (Gospel of Jesus)

The most profound video you will ever watch, but you must watch ALL of it. It is less than 15 minutes long. The ONLY way you can get to Heaven.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT FOR CHRISTIANS
We Have A Higher Calling by Harry Bethel

Many Christians are not clear concerning what our relationship to the Old Testament should be. This causes error in doctrine and practical Christianity in many areas of our lives. Our calling as Christians is much higher than that of the Old Testament saints. We are living under the New Covenant which is a better one.

Under the Old Covenant a clear manifestation of God's blessing upon the lives of His people was material prosperity. Some examples of this are Job, Abraham, Solomon, and others. In this dispensation of grace under the New Covenant it is more blessed to give away your wealth and even be content with food and clothing if that is your lot. Under the Old Dispensation it was an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, but in this dispensation if we are struck on one cheek we are to turn the other also. If we are forced to go a mile, we should go two. If our coat is taken away we are not to forbid the taking of our cloak also.

There are those who say that we are not under the ceremonial law, but under the moral law of the Old Testament. Again, we have a higher calling under the Covenant of Grace. Under the Old Covenant a married person was guilty of adultery by committing the physical act. Under the New, a married person is guilty of adultery simply by lusting in his or her heart, without even having committed the physical act. Under the Old Covenant murder was forbidden, but under the New whosoever even hates his brother is a murderer (1 Jn. 3:15).

Jesus said, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Til heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, til all be fulfilled" (Mat. 5:17-18). Jesus did indeed fulfil the law. Jesus is the personification of Love. Paul, inspired by the Spirit of Christ wrote, "He that loveth another hath fulfilled the law" (Rom. 13:8) and "Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law" (Rom. 13:10) and "The law is fulfilled in one word, even this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." Jesus loved even His enemies; even those who crucified Him, enough to die on the cross in incomprehensible agony.

The standard is much higher now, and Christians have the grace to live it by the power of God as we are led by the Holy Spirit. God said, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord. I will put my laws [plural] into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them" (Heb. 10:16). The true Church is the "Israel of God" (Gal. 6:16). "If ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the [Old Covenant] law" (Gal. 5:18).

The Jews, who have rejected Christ and therefore are not led by His Spirit, are still under the Law. And many Christ-less Jews have died over the past 2,000 years and are in hell waiting the Day of Judgment.

According to the New Testament we are living in the last days. And one of the things that the Scriptures say about these times is that there will be a falling away from the truth. There will be many false prophets and false teachers. One sign of the prevalent apostasy (falling away from truth) is the fact that so many Christians do not even know what the meaning of the word "grace" is. They vaguely define it as "unmerited favor." And this is true, but this almost entirely misses the incomparable significance of what grace really is and how the concept is necessary for a proper understanding of this dispensation of grace, which is under the New Covenant.

Many Christians today have been deceived by legalists on the one hand and liberals on the other; the former having a pharisaical spirit, thinking that outward conformity to the commandments of God is the essence of Christianity, and the latter justifying their easy believism, worldliness, and suffering-avoidance by yelling "legalism" and proclaiming their "liberty in Christ" and "the letter killeth but the spirit giveth life."

Also, this writer has met many Christians who are sincerely trying to please the Lord with their lives, but do not know how to separate the commands of the Old Covenant from those of the New. Indeed, many of these precious brothers and sisters do not even realize that, for Christians, the Old has been replaced by the New, and while "all scripture [including the Old Testament] is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness," the saints under the New Covenant have a much higher calling than did the Old Testament saints. The conditions for the highest level of discipleship, set forth in Luke 14, are much more demanding than those required of saints in the Old Dispensation who were under the Law.

This brings us to the meaning and essence of "grace"---how we can be obedient to God, and what He really expects of us as revealed in the commandments of the New Testament. Grace is the desire and power to do God's will. And the marvelous thing about this is that it comes from God, and it is a free gift. But one condition for receiving it is humility. God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble (Jam. 4:6).

A good explanation of grace is found in the epistle to the Philippians: "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure" (Php. 2:13). Grace and faith are both necessary for salvation as God grants repentance to the sinner who humbles himself before Him. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God" (Eph. 2:8). Another passage that gives light regarding what grace is can be found in Hebrews 13:20-21. "Now the God of peace...make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ...." Paul wrote, "By the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me" (1 Cor. 15:10). The apostle wrote, "And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry....And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus" (1 Tim. 1:12, 14). "[God] who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace...." (2 Tim. 1:9). "The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ" (Jn. 1:17).

Tantamount to the comprehension of grace is that of "faith." There are three types of faith: trusting in God; the Christian faith or Christian beliefs in general; and the knowledge of God's will. Faith (the kind that, like grace, comes from God) is the knowledge of God's will for you, and grace is the God-given desire and power to do His will. Faith without works (appropriate action) is dead, and you can only do an act of faith (God's revealed will) as you humble yourself before Him and receive the grace to do it. The Christian's sinful nature is still with him until he leaves his body, and if we were left to ourselves we would not do God's will---we would have neither the desire nor the power to do it. Without Jesus we can do nothing (Jn. 15:5). Jesus is the Author of faith (Heb. 12:2).

All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. And all our works that are not of faith (according to the knowledge of God's will), as we receive His grace (the desire and the power to do His will), are merely wood, hay, and stubble. Everything that we do in our own power will burn up; everything that Jesus does through us by faith as we receive His grace, has eternity stamped on it.

We are vessels through which God desires to carry out His plan. We must be careful that all we do is by faith "for whatsoever is not of faith is sin" (Rom. 14:23), as we humbly receive His grace. Much of the work done by Christians today is not in the power of the Holy Spirit, which is to say it is not of faith and is done in our own power. God only gives grace to do work that is of faith. Without faith from God it is impossible to please Him (Heb. 11:6), and it is impossible to carry out works of faith without His grace.

We are exhorted by Paul to "Present your bodies a living sacrifice....And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God" (Rom. 12:1-2). Faith is God's will revealed to you by Him. It is the "substance of things hoped for" (Heb. 11:1). "See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is" (Eph. 5:15-17).

When Jesus condescended and came to this planet, He lived by faith. Truly, everything He did was by faith. That is, He said and did only those things that the Father told Him: "Then Jesus said...I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me...." (Jn. 8:28). "For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak" (Jn. 12:49). Our Lord said, "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me" (Jn. 6:38). In this dispensation of grace under the New Covenant we should take heed to the words that Jesus spoke to the Eleven who had been prepared over a period of three years: "As my Father hath sent me, even so send I you."

The persuasion for Christians to keep the Law does not come from God (Gal. 5:8).

The New Testament is very clear concerning the fact that Christians are not under the Law, which, of course, includes what is called the Ten Commandments, but because of the apostasy and demonic false teaching this truth has become obscure in the teaching and training of many Christians, even eminent church leaders. This has affected the practical lives of many Christians including holding occupations that violate the higher calling of the New Covenant. Some of these occupations include serving in the military and going to war. We are to love our enemies and turn the other cheek and not return evil for evil. To join the military or serve in civilian law enforcement one must violate what Jesus and James said about not swearing oaths. This applies also to being sworn into a political office. We are pilgrims and strangers; our citizenship is in heaven; we are in the world but not of the world. Our task is to make disciples and call them to be separate and holy unto Christ.

The apostle Paul, a Jew who was of the tribe of Benjamin, a Pharisee and the son of a Pharisee, said he was not under the Law (1 Cor. 9:20 NIV, NASB), so, do you think you are under the Law?

The Mosaic Law was given to Israel, not Israel and the surrounding nations (Deut. 5:1, 6:3, 4).

Another false teaching is in regard to keeping the Sabbath, which is the fourth commandment of the Decalogue. Many Christian Sabbatarians break the Sabbath every week. Under the Law, instruction is given for observing the Sabbath. For example, "Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day" (Ex. 35:3). God's people "found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day....and the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without [outside] the camp. And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Lord commanded Moses" (Num. 15:32-36).

Let us look at several verses that should remove the scales from the eyes of even a nominal Christian who has been led astray concerning thinking that he is under the Law including the Ten Commandments.

First, we need to know how long was the Old Testament law in effect? That question is answered in Luke 16:16a: "The law and the prophets were until John [the Baptizer]." Of course, the Jews are still living under the Law because they are refusing to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul said in the epistle to the Romans that, "Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth" (10:4).

Second, it was God's design for the Old Covenant to be replaced by the New. The writer to the Hebrews tells us, "For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second" (8:7). Just prior to this we are told that Jesus, who is our High Priest, "is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises" (8:6).

Third, we need to answer the question, What was the function of the Law? Paul tells us in the epistle to the Galatians: "Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed [Jesus Christ] should come to who the promise was made....Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster" (3:19-25).

Fourth, we are living by grace under the New Covenant. Grace is the desire and power to do God's will. In the Gospel of John, God tells us that "the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ" (1:17).

Fifth, because we are not under the Law, does this mean that we can do what we want to? The inspired apostle Paul said, "Sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the [Old Covenant] law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid" (Rom. 6:14-15).

Sixth and last, what did Jesus mean when He said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15)? While we are not under the Old Covenant Law there are 180 New Testament commandments. We are commanded to obey God in these things that are clearly written in the New Testament. If we do not obey these commandments it is irrefutable proof that we do not love Jesus Christ.

1. The apostle Paul, a Jew said, "I MYSELF AM NOT UNDER THE LAW" (1 Cor. 9:20).

2. "ALL WHO RELY ON OBSERVING THE LAW ARE UNDER A CURSE" (Gal. 3:10).

3. "CHRIST REDEEMED US FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW" (Gal. 3:13).

4. "NOW THAT FAITH HAS COME, WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW" (Gal. 3:25).

5. "YOU HAVE BEEN SEVERED FROM CHRIST, YOU WHO ARE SEEKING TO BE JUSTIFIED BY LAW; YOU HAVE FALLEN FROM GRACE" (Gal. 5:4).

6. "IF YOU ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT YOU ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW" (Gal. 5:18).

7. "THOSE WHO ARE CIRCUMCISED [JEWS] DO NOT EVEN KEEP THE LAW THEMSELVES" (Gal. 6:11).

8. "IF RIGHTEOUSNESS COULD BE GAINED THROUGH [KEEPING] THE LAW, CHRIST DIED FOR NOTHING!" (Gal. 2:21).

9. "GENTLES...DO NOT HAVE THE LAW...THEY DO NOT HAVE THE LAW" (Rom. 2:14) (Gentiles never have had the Law.)

10. "NO ONE WILL BE DECLARED RIGHTEOUS IN HIS [GOD'S] SIGHT BY OBSERVING THE LAW" (Rom. 3:20).

11. "SIN SHALL NOT BE YOUR MASTER, BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE" (Rom. 6:14).

12. "WE HAVE BEEN RELEASED FROM THE LAW SO THAT WE SERVE IN THE NEW WAY OF THE SPIRIT, AND NOT IN THE OLD WAY OF THE WRITTEN CODE" (Rom. 7:6).

13. "CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW ... FOR EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES" (Rom. 10:4).

The Ten Commandments are NOT for Christians

I dis-agree. Works without faith is dead! What is works? Doing good unto others, in charity/love. The ten commandments show us the way. How to respect God, is in the first four commandments. How to respect humans, is in the last 6 commandments. The bible tells us the law is like a school teacher, once we learn what the teacher teaches us, we dont throw the teacher away. Or in other words, we dont throw the law away.

What we are free from is not the law, but the comnendation of the law, which is eternal death, or the "lake of fire". Jesus has paid our price of death, from being born in sin. Heaven is very ordered and structered, it operates by law! Those in heaven follow the law, and are not in sin.

Even in the earth made new, and in the New Jerusalem, - we find these words in the bible; Isaiah 66:22,23 - "From one new moon to another, and from one sabbath (7th day) to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me", says the Lord. That is law, and we will obey it, or we most likely, wont be there! Peace and love, in Jesus name -amen. .dan.

Sabbatarian error. Jesus set Christians FREE from the Law.

Sorry:

Regarding, the Saturday Sabbath, the fact of the matter is that Sabbath-keeping was prescribed by God to the Jewish people. Search scripture and you will not find one single sentence where God commanded any Gentile to abide by the Old Testament Commandments. This law was never given to the Gentiles, nor was it given to the Church.

The Law of Moses was nailed to the Cross (Colossians 2:14, Galatians 4:1-26; and Romans 6:14) with the Savior. Sabbath keeping was one of those "legalities" that Jesus frequently spoke out against. The priestly "system" was the other. The Jewish Sabbath was abolished at the cross where Christ "wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us" (Colossians 2:14). Paul says; "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster." (Galatians 3:24-25)

When one sees the holy name of "Jesus" they should immediately also see the words "freedom" and "love". For Jesus, the loving Lord of the Sabbath set those who trust and believe in Him free!

And regards to Christians not being under the Old Testament Law we have Romans 8:1-2, which explains to us: "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."

But I think you are simply echoeing the errors of the Seventh Day Adventists (SDA) regarding the ten Commandments. The SDA want to send Christians back to the slavery of the Old Testament Law(s). They have gotten a big following and have done well over the years by convincing people that when Jesus said; "It is finished" that He didn't mean the Old Testament Laws. He most certainly did. In Jesus there is complete freedom for those who follow Him. The Apostle Paul is a thorn in the side of Sabbatarian's and particularly the Seventh Day Adventists. Because He told us Jesus set us free and that we are to honor God every day and not just on a particular day of the week or any holy day.

The SDA are probably not a mind-controlling "cult". But they still are a cult.

The "cult" like the Seventh Day Adventists can normally be spotted rather easily, because it goes about building up its "empire" of followers, built on half truths and outright lies. It will always get caught in their lies when they directly contradict Jesus, as Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, and Christian Science do. A cult will also have some other "revelation" outside holy Scripture that they rely on, which creates their dogmas. Mormons do (John Smith), Christian Scientists do (Mary Baker Eddy), Jehovah Witnesses do (their own made up Bible), Scientology does (L. Ron Hubbard) Islam does (Muhammad); and so do Seventh Day Adventists. SDA's rely on writings of Ellen White.

"When Seventh-day Adventist ministers go into a community to hold a series of lectures. they conceal, at first, their denominational connection. They thus hope to draw into the audience people who would never have come if they knew that Seventh-day Adventists were conducting the meetings. This is a form of deception. There is something the matter with a religious body that is afraid to identify itself as soon as it begins to carry on any activity in a community."

So, what can we make of Seventh Day Adventists? Although the SDA includes a number of doctrines (e.g. Sabbatarianism, conditional immorality or soul sleep, annihilation of the wicked, Investigative Judgment) that are outside the mainstream of historic Christian theology, Seventh Day Adventists (also simply known by the acronym: SDA) do accept the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. Yet, on the other hand, they do preach a different Gospel. To an orthodox Christian, any different Gospel than Jesus preached is a lie. An example of false SDA teaching is Ellen White's contention that the observance of the Sabbath is the "greatest" of all the Ten Commandments. This is an outright lie which contradicts what Jesus told us Himself (which is love God & your neighbor). "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." Matthew 22:37-39

A cult can also be made known because they always have a contradictory book or literature (like the Book of Mormons and the Jehovah Witness re-write of the Bible) which they claim has equal or greater "weight" than the holy Bible. Seventh Day Adventists usually place Ellen White's contradictory writings in this league. Also, a cult will always claim that only they are the true Church. Early in Ellen White's writings, she called the rest of Christendom "Babylon". She said only the Seventh Day Adventists are the saved "Remnant" Church. Can you see how this works on the mind of the gullible? Jehovah Witnesses and Seventh Day Adventists and Mormons and Christian Scientists can't all be right --that only they will be saved. Who wouldn't want to belong to the only true church? Millions and millions of people flood out of mainline Christian churches to be counted among these "Saints", who share one thing in common. They all contradict Jesus, holy scripture and the teachings of the apostles of Jesus. A cult must make its followers believe that they alone are a special "remnant" people.

Most often a cult will pervert the Gospel of Jesus, which is above all, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." Matthew 22:37-39

Jesus' ministry was to the Jews and the lost sheep of Israel. He was speaking to the Jews about the Commandments.

I have noticed there are an awful lot of people saying rabid things against the Apostle Paul on the internet.

Christians Leaders who support the ideals of 10 "C's"

Yes! They support the "ideals brought forth by the Ten Commandments", just as you have written. I too am a great supporter of the Ten Commandments being posted wherever and whenever.

But I know none of them in the list you posted who are Sabbatarians like the Seventh Day Adventist "cult". There is a huge difference.

We as Christians are not under the Law.

When we become Christians the Law is written in our hearts. We know in our hearts "though shall not kill". The Holy Spirit teaches us to "honor our Father & mother, etc". And, to "keep holy the Lord's Day". But to a Christian, the "Lord's Day" is every day, just as the Apostle Paul told us. Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made for man.

Christians are not under the LAW of Moses. Jews are.

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made

God's Word Speaks: "You are NOT under the Law"

Christ's sacrifice IS sufficient. Believe! Satan wishes to enslave us to the Old Testament Law which Jesus already released us from by HIS sacrifice. When you think of Jesus, think awesome love, and freedom.
The early Church Fathers understood we are NOT under the Old Testament Law. Every one of them. Go and scream "traditions of men" as if it is a bad thing, like all SDA cultists do. But it was these men who walked, talked, listened to and were trained by the Apostles of Jesus.

"SIN SHALL NOT BE YOUR MASTER, BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE" (Romans 6:14).

The apostle Paul, a Jew said, "I MYSELF AM NOT UNDER THE LAW" (1 Cor. 9:20).

The New Testament is very clear concerning the fact that Christians are not under the Law, which, of course, includes what is called the Ten Commandments, but because of the apostasy and demonic false teaching (such as by Seventh Day Adventists and Millerites) this truth has become obscure in the teaching and training of many Christians, even eminent church leaders.

The Jews, who have rejected Christ and therefore are not led by His Spirit, are still under the Law. And many Christ-less Jews have died over the past 2,000 years and are in hell waiting the Day of Judgment.

1. The apostle Paul, a Jew said, "I MYSELF AM NOT UNDER THE LAW" (1 Cor. 9:20).

2. "ALL WHO RELY ON OBSERVING THE LAW ARE UNDER A CURSE" (Gal. 3:10).

The Ten Commandments are NOT for Christians

Are the Ten Commandments for Christians? If not who are they for?
Let us take a closer look at these commandments and see what God expects of his people. Religious leaders such as Pope Benedict XVI, Jack van Impe, Pat Robinson, James Dobson, TD Jakes, Oral Roberts, John Hagee, Billy Graham, and most pentecostal, full gospel and evangelical preachers are advocating the keeping of the Ten Commandments.

(1) Exodus 20:1 and God spoke all these words, saying:
vs.2 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
vs.3 You shall have no other gods before Me.

The Creator of Heaven and earth is a jealous God He wants to be first and foremost in our lives What or whoever we put first in our lives is our god It could be money, stocks, sports, social position, job, spouse, children, religion, church, tradition, or self. Jesus said in Matt.22:37 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment.

(2) Ex.20:4 You shall not make for yourself a carved imageany likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; vs.5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, vs.6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

The Second Commandment forbids using an image to represent the true God, or any false god. This commandment deals specifically with using physical images for worship or as representations of anything related to worship. This does not condemn the existence of statues or pictures in generalonly their use for worship The worship of idols, graven images (including the Virgin Mary, Saints Peter and all saints, Buddah, bowing down to Popes)is expressly forbidden and even blasphemies.

(3) Ex.20:7 You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
Many people believe that this Commandment only applies to swearing But it applies explicitly to taking on the name of Christ but living and doing those things contrary to Christs love and natureIf I call myself a Christian but living according to the lust of the eye, lust of the flesh and the pride of life is taking His name in vain. The doctrine of eternal security or once saved always saved is a doctrine from the pits of hell and an invitation for breaking this commandment. The devil takes great pride in making a mockery of the name Christian
2 Cor. 11: 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. vs.14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. vs.15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

The Fourth Commandment completes the grouping of the commandments that instruct man in his relationship with his Creatorlove toward God.
(4) Ex. 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. vs.9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, vs.10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. vs.11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

God knew that His people would forget this commandment that is why He said remember The Sabbath was given to Adam and Eve during the creation week
Gen. 2:1-3 vs.1 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. vs.2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. vs.3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work whichGod had created and made.

This commandment recognizes God as being the Creator. The fourth commandment requires man to worship God as the Creator on the Seventh Day. The ultimate desire of Lucifer is to be worship. The greatest conspiracy or hoax of all time deals with the Sabbath. Most professing Christians in Catholic, Evangelical, Full-Gospel, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal and other Protestant and non-denominational churches have been taught that Sunday is the day of worship and that the Sabbath has been change from the 7th day to the 1st day but this change is not found in the Bible. The Fourth Commandment is the all-important test commandment. How we keep it demonstrates to God our willingness to honor Him and walk in His ways. Ez. 20:20 hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God. Jesus said in Jn.14:14 If you love Me you will keep my commandments.1Jn.2:4 states He that saith ,I know Him and keep not His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him

Is the truth in you my friend?

Ten Commandments Commission

We, the members of the Ten Commandments Commission and supporting people of faith, proclaim The Ten Commandments Day on the first Sunday in the month of May, commencing on Sunday, May Sixth of 2007.
Furthermore, we proclaim the Ten Commandments Day to be a day dedicated for the display, awareness, commemoration and celebration of the Decalogue which we know to be the divine foundation of the Judeo-Christian faith.
We, the members of the commission, serve as a cohesive group of spiritual leaders representing millions of followers who affirm the beauty and the uniqueness of our differences. We believe that rooted in the Ten Commandments is a Divine plan that transcends color and diversity in cultural expression, sanctions brotherhood of man and respects expressions in all of Gods children.
We, who serve as a council of leaders, are committed to utilizing our united passion to provide purpose and direction for reversing the enormous tide of immorality continuing to be released throughout the United States of America, and on all continents of the world. This unified voice will culminate annually on the Ten Commandments Day and provide for a united, global, spiritual platform based on the Ten Commandments. This platform will respond to the call echoed throughout creation for a true expression love, harmony and reconciliation among all nations, ethnic diversities and genders through education and rededication to the moral standard as given by our Loving Creator.
Therefore, we are calling on all community and spiritual leaders; churches, synagogues, fellowships, ministries, organizations and all who care about moral values, to celebrate the annual Ten Commandments Day by hosting local events in support of the Ten Commandments and what they represent.
Finally, we proclaim the need to heal the wounds of history through strategic and practical objectives, proactive love and obedience to the commands of God.
By signing this document, I hereby give my commitment of support to the ideals brought forth by the Ten Commandments Commission in the establishment of the annual Ten Commandments Day, and to the moral standard we acknowledge and seek to uphold by the grace of Almighty God.

Joeland7--you are a "legalist" that Jesus warned about

Jesus warned us about legalists like you Joeland7. The Pharisees were legalists just like you. They insisted the Law said they needed to be circumcised, yet they broke the LAW by not loving their neighbors. That is the essence of the NEW TESTAMENT; something NEW that Jesus did. Love God and love your neighbor.

"SIN SHALL NOT BE YOUR MASTER, *[b]BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW, BUT UNDER GRACE*" (Romans 6:14).

"WE HAVE BEEN RELEASED FROM THE LAW SO THAT WE SERVE IN THE NEW WAY OF THE SPIRIT, AND NOT IN THE OLD WAY OF THE WRITTEN CODE" (Rom. 7:6).

The apostle Paul, a Jew said, "I MYSELF AM NOT UNDER THE LAW" (1 Cor. 9:20).

Every early Church Father told us the same thing the Apostle Paul did. Christians are NOT under the LAW of Moses. That is for the Jews. Seventh Day Adventists (SDA) run up to this teaching and immediately scream; "Traditions of Men" to protect their SDA lies and their Sabbatarian enslavement. Quite simply, Jesus' sacrifice IS/WAS sufficient. He is the Law and the Law ended with Jesus. Christians are under the GRACE of the Lord Jesus--no longer enslaved by a LAW, which NOBODY could keep fully. Under the Old Law, miss any tiny part of it and you were in grave trouble.

Traditions of the Curch go back to the early Church fathers who walked, and talked with the Apostles. They listened to their sermons.

*The New Testament is very clear concerning the fact that Christians are not under the Law*, which, of course, includes what is called the Ten Commandments, but because of the apostasy and *demonic false teaching* (such as by Seventh Day Adventists and Millerites) this truth has become obscure in the teaching and training of many Christians, even eminent church leaders.

JESUS SAID HIMSELF --HE WAS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW. If something is fulfilled there is no longer any payment required. Jesus made that payment. Don't kick Jesus in the teeth by telling Him, what He did wasnot enough. Jesus fulfilled the Law...

13:10) and "*The law is fulfilled in one word, even this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself*." Jesus loved even His enemies; even those who crucified Him, enough to die on the cross in incomprehensible agony.
